Many of you were wondering why Christine Vardaros was listed as a DNS (did not start) in the Treviso World Cup results. Well, I just got an email update regarding her travels:
I was DNS in Italy because after traveling 27 hours (vs the expected 11 hours) to italy, including the towing of our car from Austria to Germany and back to Austria) and getting repeatedly lost, I missed the start. Luckily the drive home only took 19 hours so I BARELY made the start for sunday’s race in Vossem, belgium. My legs were SO cramped that I could only manage a 12th place. bugger! Next week is the world cup in Pijnacker, Netherlands so i will put this debacle behind and refocus my efforts on being on time!!
The photo above is Christine killin’ it on her way to 10th place at the famous Koppenbergcross last week. Watch for her in Pijnacker!
