Here’s some love for the lonely hearts out there.
Debuted by startup builders Signal Cycles at this year’s North American Handmade Bicycle Show, this is a custom steel rig, and the first cross bike (of hopefully many) to come out of Signal’s shop. Sporting one of the freshest paint jobs I’ve ever seen on a cross bike, this is the bike that stood out for me most at the NAHMBS. It’s got that special mix of speed and style that just screams “race the hell out of me, and then keep me in your bedroom”.
Take special note of the extremely rare 46 tooth Dura Ace chainring up front.
Read more about the bike on Signal’s site, or over at bikeportland.org.
So there ya go. Lust away. Happy V-Day.

Hot. Hot. Hot. Hot. The bike elicits a sort of Magnum PI Hughes 500D Chopper paint effect. Yum. One will have to wear appropriate ball hugger shorts with this and likely a soup straining mustache. It’s sexier than a mo fo, don’t get me wrong.
You’re right: I have bene looking for a Dura Ace 46 ring and they are tough to get. FSA is one thing, but I want the DA bling. None of that black chain ring bunkness.
The D.A rings are for sponsored riders only…they must have some skills or serious connections!
P.S. I have some knee high socks that match the paint job perfectly!
agreed. that was the my fav cross racing machine at the show. nice work matt.
My favorite bike overall at the show. Amazing work, guys! And it’s my size. Sigh. Lust is an understatement.
